On April 13th, the launch ceremony of the "Buy in China" series of activities for the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) was held in Haikou. Vice President Han Zheng announced the launch of the event. Feng Fei, Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee, Sheng Qiuping, Deputy Minister of Commerce, Douglas Alexander, Secretary of State for Commerce and Trade of the United Kingdom, Deputy Prime Minister Denisha Sakova of Slovakia, and Zhang Xiangchen, Deputy Director General of the World Trade Organization, delivered speeches. Pan Feng, Vice Chairman of the CEATEC and Chairman of the ECECDC, attended the event and had communication and exchanges with Caroline Elizabeth Wilson, British Ambassador to China, and Denisa Sakova, Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakia, before the opening ceremony.
As the largest consumer goods exhibition in the Asia Pacific region, this year's CICPE welcomes more than 1700 consumer enterprises and 4100 consumer brands from 71 countries and regions, covering a wide range of consumer new products and goods in fashion, health, technology, services and other fields. The UK is the guest of honor at this year's CICPE, while countries such as France, Switzerland, and Ireland continue to organize high-quality consumer enterprises and products to participate. Slovakia and other countries are participating in the exhibition for the first time, and international consumer goods and new products are further gathering.
